I bought a small Lowrance Elite 4M chart plotter for my Vega. Does anyone have experiences that the internal Antenna works below the deck?
I am a little bit worrying...

The Advansea T56 plotter works fine in the cabin.

Hey;
I think that wont work reliable, often the power of the antennas is to low, to receive GPS Data through GFK Hulls. If its mounted near companionway, It should work, mostly its enough if they got a free view to the sky. But I would recommend an external antenna, which is connected via NMEA0183. Then you will be sure, that you have every time a good GPS Receiving.
The Sprayhood wont cause any influence to the receiving, indeed.

Thank you very much for all the answers. I tried the GPS on the weekend and it works fine!
